Tashkent is tightening control over public transport drivers. According to Rustam Narbayev, legal adviser at "Toshshahartransxizmat", in an exclusive interview with Podrobno.uz, if a driver passes a designated stop without stopping, 5% may be deducted from their salary. This measure is applied as a disciplinary penalty.

Bus movements are tracked via GPS. The system can determine whether the driver stopped at the required point. If they skipped it, disciplinary measures and a 5% salary deduction may follow. However, some drivers attempt to bypass the system by turning off GPS.

When GPS is disabled, detecting violations becomes more difficult. Therefore, "Toshshahartransxizmat" urges passengers to report such cases to the short number 1062. Each complaint is promised to be reviewed individually. The company acknowledges that current measures are not yet sufficient.

Repeated violations may lead to dismissal. After three or more such cases, the employer may seek union approval to terminate the employment contract. Each situation is considered separately. Meanwhile, Tashkent continues to improve transport infrastructure: 12 traffic lights on the Small Ring Road have been synchronized under the "green wave" principle. At speeds of 50–60 km/h, vehicles can travel about 5 kilometers with minimal stops.
