US President Donald Trump stated that the country's relations with Venezuela are at a high level and announced his intention to visit the nation. This was reported by Reuters.

"I am going to visit Venezuela," said the American leader, without disclosing details of the potential trip.

According to him, Washington maintains "very good relations with the president of Venezuela."

Trump also noted that the US is "working very closely" with the country's acting president Delcy Rodriguez, particularly on issues of access to oil resources. Assessing current contacts between the countries, he said the relations deserve a "rating of 10."

Previously, Trump suggested that the United States could take over leadership of Venezuela during a transitional period until a new system of government is formed, emphasizing that such a process could take years.
