️ The Tashkent City Department of Ecology and Climate Change swiftly responded to social media reports about systematic tree felling on the territory of a former military unit in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent (Fargona Yuli Street, 25A, "Jurabek" neighborhood). Residents of nearby houses raised the alarm after noticing that 2-3 trees were disappearing from the site each night.

️ During an inspection, it was confirmed that LLC "OBODON FAYZ SERVIS XIZMATI," which was carrying out landscaping work on the territory of former military unit No. 7534, had arbitrarily destroyed 16 mature pine trees. The perennial trees were cut down at the root, constituting a gross violation of the Law "On the Protection and Use of the Plant World" and relevant resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers.

️ According to current legislation, damages for the illegal felling of trees not included in the state forest fund are recovered at double the rate. Specialists from the ecology department have already calculated the harm inflicted on nature. The case materials have been transferred to the Yashnabad District Court for Criminal Cases to provide a legal assessment of the developer's actions and to hold the guilty parties accountable in accordance with the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

️ The environmental authority reminds entrepreneurs that the moratorium on the felling of valuable tree species remains in effect, and any attempts to circumvent the law under the cover of night will result in severe financial sanctions and legal prosecution.
