According to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, the country's cotton harvest has increased by 10% compared to last year. This growth is attributed to agricultural reforms and the adoption of modern technologies in the sector.

The President linked this achievement to the implementation of new methods in cotton farming, modernization of irrigation systems, and state support for farmers. He also emphasized the need to diversify the cotton industry and produce additional high-value products to enhance economic resilience.

Experts view this increase as a positive indicator for economic development and the expansion of export opportunities. However, they caution that deeper reforms are necessary to ensure sustainability in the cotton sector and to adapt to evolving global market demands.

The government is planning new projects focused on processing cotton products and boosting exports, which could lead to further advancements in the agricultural sector. These initiatives aim to solidify Uzbekistan's position in international markets while addressing domestic economic priorities.
