A groundbreaking ceremony has taken place in the Pap district of Namangan region for the Arashan Resort, a major tourism complex. The project, spanning 600 hectares, requires an investment of $150 million and is set to become one of the largest facilities of its kind in the region.

Regional Governor Shavkat Abdurazzoqov emphasized the strategic importance of the complex for the entire Fergana Valley. Upon completion, it will be able to accommodate up to 2,500 tourists daily, with an annual visitor flow expected to reach nearly one million people. Additionally, the project will create over 2,000 new jobs.

The future resort will integrate zones for ecological, extreme, and mountain tourism, cultural and entertainment centers, hotels, theme parks, and ski resorts. Infrastructure will include an artificial lake, extensive attraction complexes, a 10-kilometer zipline, restaurants, an open-air cinema, an eco-market, sports facilities, and swimming pools.

The project is being implemented in partnership with the Japanese company NGEA (Nippon Global Education and Assessment), while environmental norms and safety standards will be monitored by specialists from Austria.

It is worth noting that another major investment project is underway in Khiva. The city is constructing a modern Congress Hall complex and a new tourist district called "Bokiy Shakar" ("Eternal City"), designed in the style of traditional Khiva architecture.
