President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan reviewed the project for a unique fountain complex to be built in the New Tashkent area. This initiative aims to create a modern public space that will attract thousands of local and foreign tourists. The complex will cover approximately 8 hectares and is designed to become an architectural landmark in the capital.
The centerpiece of the complex will be a giant basin with a water surface area of 6.3 hectares, housing a musical fountain capable of producing grand light and sound shows across 1.5 hectares. Technical specifications are impressive: the super-fountain will project water jets to a record height of up to 232 meters. A floating platform with a diameter of 100 meters will enable dynamic water compositions.
A key technological innovation will be a circular water screen with a radius of 185 meters, onto which powerful laser projectors can broadcast 360-degree images, creating an immersive experience. All complex engineering systems—pump systems, electrical equipment, and laser installations—will be concealed in a two-story underground technical block.
Extensive green zones, modern retail outlets, gastronomic spots, and service centers are planned around the water basin. The head of state emphasized that the complex should not merely be a decorative object but a vibrant venue for festivals and celebrations. The President tasked authorities with preparing the site to host spectacular events for Independence Day within the current year.
