The Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Uzgidromet) has announced that today, in the afternoon, rain and possible thunderstorms are expected in some areas of the Bukhara, Navoi, Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Kashkadarya regions. These weather conditions, particularly in foothill and mountainous areas, may lead to mudflow and flood phenomena, posing risks to local communities and infrastructure.
On April 11-12, most parts of Uzbekistan are forecast to be without precipitation, with only short-term thunderstorms possible in isolated districts of Samarkand and Jizzakh regions, as well as in the regions of the Fergana Valley. Nighttime temperatures are expected to range from +8 to +13 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures will be between +20 and +25 degrees Celsius, aligning with seasonal norms but potentially cool at night.
In Tashkent, no precipitation is anticipated from April 10-12, with an east wind blowing from weak to moderate. Temperatures are projected to be +11-13 degrees at night and +23-25 degrees during the day. Uzgidromet advises residents to monitor weather changes and take necessary precautions, especially given the mudflow risk in mountainous zones.
