Uzbekistan's imports have surged sharply in early 2026. According to the National Statistics Committee, the country imported $8.1 billion worth of goods and services in January-February, a 29.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
China remains the top trading partner, accounting for over a third of all imports at $2.8 billion. Russia is second with $1.4 billion.
Among neighboring countries, Kazakhstan ranks third with $677 million. Key Asian partners include South Korea (over $300 million), Turkey ($259.8 million), and India ($179.3 million).
Germany supplied $182.6 million worth of imports, Belarus $144.3 million, Turkmenistan $121.5 million, and the United States $98.6 million. In total, Uzbekistan imported from over 135 countries during the period.
Last year, China, Russia, and Kazakhstan also topped the list of largest suppliers to the Uzbek market.
