Uzbekistan's WT taekwondo team delivered an impressive performance at the international Kim Un Yong Cup tournament held in Seoul, South Korea. The athletes secured a total of 12 medals across various weight categories.
Gold medals were won by Jakhongir Khudoyberdiev (under 54 kg), Jasurbek Jaysunov (under 80 kg), and Ozoda Sobirjonova (under 67 kg). All three dominated their respective categories to claim the top spot.
Silver medals went to Asadbek Samandarov (under 58 kg) and Yodgorbek Juraboev (under 80 kg), who fought hard but fell short in the finals.
Bronze medalists included Nazarali Nazarov (under 63 kg), Ayubkhon Nabiev (under 68 kg), Laylo Khasanova (under 53 kg), Madina Mirabzalova (under 57 kg), Shabbona Abduvalieva (under 57 kg), Mokhidil Uktamjonova (under 62 kg), and Iroda Mirtodjieva (over 73 kg).
The final tally for Uzbekistan stands at three gold, two silver, and seven bronze medals, highlighting the team's strength and depth in taekwondo.
Earlier, the Uzbekistan WT taekwondo team also performed well at the Grand Prix stage in Rome, continuing their successful run on the international stage.
