A court in the Uzbekistan district of the Fergana region has sentenced a man for sexual harassment of his ex-wife, as well as his second wife for insulting the victim.

According to the court verdict, the incident occurred on April 18, 2026, at a bus station in the town of Yaypan. A man born in 1991 met his ex-wife, pulled her aside, forcibly hugged her, and attempted to kiss her. The victim told the court that she pushed him away.

Later that evening, the ex-husband's second wife called her and insulted her, demeaning her honor and dignity. During the court hearing, both offenders admitted their guilt, repented, and asked for leniency.

The criminal court of the Uzbekistan district found the man guilty under Article 41-1 of the Administrative Responsibility Code (sexual harassment) and sentenced him to 5 days of administrative arrest. The man's second wife was found guilty under Article 41 of the same code (insult) and fined 5 basic calculation units, amounting to 2 million 60 thousand soums.
