The Creative Union of Cinematographers of Uzbekistan has announced the passing of renowned film actor, director, and educator Abdumannon Ubaydullayev at the age of 86. His death marks a significant loss for the country's cultural landscape, as he contributed extensively to cinema, theater, and radio, mentoring numerous young talents throughout his career.

Ubaydullayev gained widespread recognition for his role in the 2006 film 'Vatan' (Motherland), directed by Zulfikar Musakov. At the time, he was 66 years old. His performance resonated deeply with audiences and brought him considerable fame. Subsequently, he appeared in films such as 'Omad', 'So'nggi lahza', 'Aldangan ko'ngil', 'Hijron', and many television series.

Before embarking on his acting career, he worked as a director at a children's radio station. He later worked in a theater in Kashkadarya and prepared a radio journal called 'Tabassum'. This highlights the breadth of his creative endeavors.

Ubaydullayev held a candidate degree in art studies and was recognized for his work with youth. He taught at the Department of Sound Direction and Camera Skills at the State Institute of Art and Culture, imparting his expertise to students.

In a 2023 interview with Kun, he stated: 'If you have knowledge accumulated through great effort, you must definitely pass it on to someone.' This reflects his life philosophy and pedagogical approach.

He also shared that when entering the Institute of Culture, he chose directing as his specialty, primarily because actors must obey the director. This provides an interesting insight into his professional choices and creative outlook.
