A significant administrative reshuffle has taken place in the capital of Uzbekistan, resulting in the replacement of khokims (heads) across three major districts: Chilanzar, Yangihayot, and Yashnabad. Local authorities reported that the officials stepped down due to transitions to other professional assignments.
Specifically, Saidqahhor Xolxoʻjayev has departed from his position as the khokim of Chilanzar District. He is reportedly slated to assume the role of Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade. Xolxoʻjayev’s career features prominent positions, including Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank and First Deputy Minister of Economic Development, prior to his appointment to Chilanzar in August 2022.
Meanwhile, Yangihayot District Khokim Hayot Inogʻomov was similarly relieved of his duties and reassigned to head Chilanzar District. Inogʻomov, born in Tashkent, possesses an extensive background in transport infrastructure management and municipal administration, having previously served as a deputy mayor of Tashkent.
As part of the ongoing administrative adjustments, new successors have been swiftly designated to fill the vacant seats. Lazizbek Poʻlatovich Temirov has officially been approved as the new khokim of Yangihayot District, as local governance structures continue to undergo routine restructuring.
