Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. In Uzbekistan, the districts and cities with the highest number of newborns in 2025 have been identified. According to data released by the National Committee on Statistics, over 879.5 thousand live births were recorded across the country.

First place was taken by Namangan, where 18.5 thousand children were born. Second place went to Urgut District in Samarkand Region with 16.2 thousand newborns, while Andijan ranked third with 14.6 thousand. These figures highlight regional variations in population growth trends.

Other areas making the top list include: Denov District (12.4 thousand), Samarkand city (11.8 thousand), Pastdargom District (9.7 thousand), Koson District (9.1 thousand), Kamashi District (9.1 thousand), Almazar District of Tashkent (9 thousand), and Asaka District (8.2 thousand). This ranking underscores disparities in birth rates across different parts of the nation.

It is recalled that from January to September 2025, nearly 665 thousand newborns were registered in civil registry offices throughout the republic. Among them, the number of boys exceeded that of girls by over 20 thousand, potentially indicating concerns about gender balance.
