Andijan Region in Uzbekistan is enhancing its tourism profile with numerous attractions for both foreign visitors and local travelers. Authorities are preparing a roadmap for systematic development of the area.

This was discussed during a working visit to Andijan Region by Abdulaziz Akkulov, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan. He reviewed projects including the "Khanabad Pearl" tourist complex in Khanabad, the "Khontog" recreation zone, the "Artificial Lake" construction in the "Kampirrovot" neighborhood, health trails in the Khontog foothills, the "Qutayba ibn Muslim" pilgrimage site in Jalalquduq District, a recreation zone along the Andijansay River, the "Imam Ota" tourist zone in Khojaabad District, and the "Shirmonbulok" tourist zone in Bulakbashi District.

In Andijan city, the Chairman examined the "Bobur" town project, the "Qala" complex, the 24-hour tourist streets "Sariqo'y" and "Urikzor", the "Torbazor" craft and ethnographic street in the "Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur" neighborhood, ecotourism projects in the Andijan Forestry, and the prospects of the "Mingtepa" archaeological site in Marhamat District.

Additionally, more comfortable conditions for tourists and simplified procedures will be implemented at the Khanabad border customs post.

Recall that cooperation between entrepreneurs and the state in Andijan Region will reach a new level. The President signed a document aimed at large-scale renewal of the region's engineering and communication infrastructure.
