Citizens complained about delays in waste removal, low service quality, violation of contract terms, as well as unjustified debt accruals by service organizations. In some cases, the existence of such debts limited consumers' ability to pay for electricity, leading to additional grievances.
The conducted inspection revealed that in some regions, the established frequency of waste removal is not being adhered to, and residents were billed without sufficient grounds. The highest number of complaints were recorded in Namangan, Kashkadarya, Jizzakh, Tashkent, and Fergana regions.
To protect citizens' rights, the committee sent a request to the Agency for Waste Management and Circular Economy Development, demanding timely and high-quality waste removal, elimination of unjustified accruals, and a review of the practice of restrictions when paying for electricity.
The agency reminded that, in accordance with legislation, services must be provided within established deadlines, and if they are absent or of inadequate quality, consumers have the right not to pay for the corresponding period.
