JSC "Uzbekneftegaz" has sent an official letter to the Football Association of Uzbekistan, notifying it of the termination of funding for the clubs "Nasaf", "Bukhara", and "Bunyodkor". This was reported by a source from Kun.uz.

Previously, the company announced its intention to divest non-core assets, cease sponsorship payments, and optimize expenses.

For reference: in the 2025 Super League season, "Nasaf" placed third, "Bunyodkor" fifth, and "Bukhara" fourteenth. The new season of the national championship starts in 15 days on February 27.

Recall that on January 30, a meeting with the president discussed the priority tasks of "Uzbekneftegaz". During the meeting, it was emphasized that special attention would be paid to improving the company's operational efficiency, including through the divestment of non-core assets, cessation of sponsorship payments, and expense optimization to ensure financial stability.
