President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved a strategic plan for the development of the creative industry, aiming to increase its share in the country's GDP to 5% by 2030. This was announced by the press service of the head of state.

According to the document, the implementation of a set of measures will enable the growth of creative services exports to $1 billion and create over 500,000 jobs.

A key element of the strategy will be the formation of a network of creative industry parks. In Tashkent, a large-scale creative park is planned, which will unite film studios, programming schools, design and sound recording centers, forming a unified ecosystem for creative professionals and IT specialists.

A special tax regime is being introduced for residents: income and social tax rates are halved to 6%.

Similar facilities will appear in New Tashkent and Nukus. In the capital of Karakalpakstan, the national pavilion from the EXPO-2025 exhibition and a modern library will become focal points.

The reform will also affect the education sector and cultural heritage protection. In Tashkent, a Higher School of Traditional Arts, modeled on The King's Foundation, will open. Training in calligraphy, ceramics, and architectural decor will be conducted in English.

Simultaneously, large-scale restoration of historical sites is planned, including the Bibi-Khanym Mosque in Samarkand. The president emphasized that all work must be carried out under strict UNESCO supervision to preserve the historical authenticity of the monuments.
