Uzbekistan has seen a rise in telephone fraud cases, with pensioners increasingly becoming victims. Scammers call from unknown numbers, posing as bank or Pension Fund employees, and claim that pensions will be increased starting next month. To "process" the recalculation, they request passport details, bank card numbers, PINFL, or SMS verification codes. They mislead citizens by stating that without providing this information, the payment will not be recalculated.

The Pension Fund emphasized that its employees never request personal data or SMS codes over the phone.

Citizens are urged not to share passport details, bank card information, or other confidential data with strangers. In case of suspicious calls, it is recommended to contact the Pension Fund's hotline at 1271 or report to the internal affairs authorities at 102.

The Fund also called on pensioners and their relatives to remain vigilant and not fall for scammers' tricks.
