Polish President Karol Nawrocki stated that the country should consider a path to obtaining its own nuclear arsenal. He made this announcement in an interview with the Polsat News television channel.

According to the head of state, Warsaw should join a nuclear project because, in his assessment, Poland is "on the brink of armed conflict," including due to Russia's actions. Nawrocki emphasized that movement in this direction must occur in compliance with international norms.

Previously, former Polish President Andrzej Duda declared the country's readiness to host American nuclear weapons on its territory. He noted that he discussed this issue in Washington and confirmed Warsaw's willingness to make relevant decisions.

Duda explained this position by citing Russia's increased military activity, including the militarization of the Kaliningrad region and the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.
