President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a working meeting focused on strengthening the country's defense potential and expanding strategic partnership with Turkey.
Defense Minister Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov presented a report to the head of state on the current state and prospects of military cooperation between Tashkent and Ankara.
A high-ranking representative of the Turkish Armed Forces participated in the discussion. The parties reviewed in detail the implementation of agreements reached earlier at the highest level. The main emphasis was placed on intensifying interaction between the defense ministries of the two countries, driven by the need to ensure regional security and stability.
Special attention during the report was paid to the dynamics of military-technical cooperation. In particular, the expansion of direct interagency contacts and the organization of regular joint events, including tactical exercises and experience exchange, were discussed. An important area of partnership remains the training and advanced training of military specialists at leading specialized educational institutions.
Following the meeting, the firm commitment of Uzbekistan and Turkey to further deepen military partnership was confirmed. The parties outlined concrete steps to develop technological cooperation and strengthen the material and technical base of the armed forces, which will mark a new stage in the development of bilateral relations.
