President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has entered the trust rating of Russians towards leaders of former Soviet states, scoring 8%. The data comes from a survey by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) conducted in April 2026.
Although the figure lags behind the rating leaders, Mirziyoyev maintains a noticeable presence in the perception of the Russian audience, remaining among the most recognizable political figures in the region.
The survey leader was Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko with 75%. Second place went to Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with 25%. They are followed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan (7%), as well as leaders of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan (5% each), and Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Moldova (4% each).
Experts note that the level of trust is shaped by a number of factors, from the frequency of mentions in the media space to the general perception of countries. In this context, Uzbekistan retains the status of a notable regional player, and Mirziyoyev's figure is consistently recognizable in the Russian agenda, albeit without leading positions.
The survey involved 1,600 Russians aged 18 and older. Recall that a survey two years ago showed that 81% of Russians do not experience negative emotions towards migrants.
