Social media circulated reports that a citizen of Uzbekistan died in a road traffic accident in the Chuvash Republic of Russia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has refuted these claims.

According to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan, the victim is alive and receiving treatment in a district hospital. Doctors assess his condition as stable, with injuries of moderate severity.

The situation is under the control of the diplomatic mission. Earlier, a tragedy was reported in Qatar, where an 11-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan died in a road accident.
