The State Security Service of Uzbekistan reported the detention of an assistant prosecutor in Uchtepa District, Tashkent, for illegal activities. He was caught receiving $15,000 from a businessman in exchange for leasing two building basements in Shaykhontohur District.

After taking the money, he attempted to flee in his car but was apprehended with material evidence. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 3, Clause "v" of Article 168 of the Criminal Code (Fraud), and he has been placed in custody.

The SSS urged citizens to report such violations to the hotline number 1520.
