️ The Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Uzhydromet) has announced the intrusion of cold and humid air masses into the country from March 9 to 12. This period is expected to bring sharp changes in weather conditions and precipitation across the republic.
️ From March 9 to 11, intermittent precipitation (primarily rain) will be observed in many regions of Uzbekistan, with rain turning to snow in some areas. In foothill and mountainous areas, precipitation (rain and snow) may be heavy, potentially negatively impacting road traffic and agriculture.
️ Wind speeds are forecast to increase to 15-20 m/s in some parts of the republic, with gusts reaching 22-25 m/s in certain locations. These strong winds heighten the risk of damage to infrastructure, power grids, and agricultural crops.
️ A significant drop in air temperature is anticipated from March 10 to 12. In the northern regions of the republic, nighttime temperatures will fall to -7…-10 degrees Celsius, with daytime temperatures dropping to 0…-3 degrees. In other areas, particularly on March 11-12, nighttime temperatures will range from 0…-3 degrees, while daytime temperatures will be around +2…+5 degrees. This cold weather could lead to health issues and increased energy consumption.
