In Tashkent, executives of a construction company responsible for building the 'Rohat' residential complex in the Yashnabad district have been taken into custody. A criminal case has been initiated against the firm's director and sales department head on suspicion of large-scale fraud.

According to sources, the number of affected individuals currently exceeds 200, with preliminary damages to citizens estimated at over 50 billion Uzbek soums. The complex is being developed by Broccoli Plus LLC, founded by Sadullo Nasulloyev and Aslbek Karimov, with Shohbozmirzo Khojiyev as its head.

The situation is further complicated by the fact that the under-construction property was previously put up for auction by court order due to the developer's debt of $5.5 million to a bank. Hundreds of investors who poured funds into purchasing apartments during the construction phase now fear that after the complex is sold at auction, the new owner might resell the properties to other parties, jeopardizing their investments.

Law enforcement agencies are continuing investigative actions to determine all circumstances of the case and the exact amount of damages. Defrauded buyers are hoping for state intervention to protect their rights to the paid-for real estate and prevent the loss of billions of soums in investments.
