A new labor migration program has been launched between Uzbekistan and the United States. Under an agreement signed between the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan and the American organization USA Farm Labor, citizens of Uzbekistan will have the opportunity for legal employment on US farms. The program is implemented within the framework of the H-2A visa program.

The agreement was signed following online negotiations involving the head of the Migration Agency, Behzod Musayev, and the head of USA Farm Labor, Manuel Fik. Participants in the program can expect an average monthly wage of $3,500 for a seasonal employment period of 9 to 10 months. All living expenses will be covered by the host party.

The selection process for candidates plans to prioritize specialists who already have relevant qualifications and experience in the agricultural sector. USA Farm Labor has 22 years of experience in attracting foreign labor for the needs of the American agricultural industry and coordinates with over 1,400 farms and ranches across North America.

The parties confirmed their intention to move quickly to the practical implementation of the project, promising to provide detailed information on the application procedure and specific requirements for applicants. This initiative opens a new direction for organized labor migration from Uzbekistan, though its long-term economic and social impacts remain uncertain, raising questions about dependency and integration challenges.
