The Council of People's Deputies of Tashkent Region has approved new tariffs for household waste collection and removal services. The changes will take effect from April 1, 2026. The decision was made as part of implementing a presidential decree on improving the waste management system and based on proposals from relevant authorities.
According to the new regulations, the fee for waste removal for the population will increase from 7,840 soums to 10,864 soums per month per person (including VAT). If considering the tariff without value-added tax, it will rise from 7,000 to 9,700 soums, representing a 38.6% increase.
For legal entities, an indexation of service costs is also provided. The tariff for removing one cubic meter of waste will increase from 82,880 soums to 97,316.8 soums (with VAT). Without VAT, the cost will rise from 74,000 to 86,890 soums, showing a 17.4% growth.
The new rates apply to services provided by enterprises Toza hudud, Zero-waste, Zangiota Obodon, Angren Bunyod Fayz, Rahnamo Servis, and Ohangaron sanitariya tozalash. The tariff increase is justified by the need to modernize the fleet of waste collection equipment and introduce modern waste processing technologies in the region.
It is worth noting that in the first month and a half of 2026, the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection received more than 850 complaints related to the work of solid household waste removal services. The main complaints concern unjustified debt accrual and the imposition of restrictions on electricity payments for consumers.
