Uzbekistan's 2024 cotton harvest has reached historically high levels, noted as an outcome of comprehensive agricultural reforms and the adoption of modern technologies. Strategic initiatives implemented by the country's leadership, including policies to reduce cotton acreage and expand grain cultivation, along with granting farmers autonomous management rights, have fundamentally transformed the nation's agrarian system.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, productivity increased by 15% compared to the previous year, indicating steady growth in cotton production. Experts attribute these achievements to practical measures such as modernizing irrigation systems and the widespread introduction of high-yield varieties.

Nevertheless, challenges persist, including volatility in cotton prices on domestic and international markets, as well as issues related to climate change. Ministry representatives plan to implement new projects for diversifying cotton farming and developing processing industries in the coming years, which is expected to provide an additional revenue stream for the economy.

Thousands of workers and farmers participated in the cotton harvesting season, with their labor highlighted as a key factor in the sector's successes. Financial and technical support provided by the government to farmers, along with programs to attract foreign investment, are contributing to the further advancement of this industry.
