At a meeting on April 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev criticized some regional governors (hokims) for their inaction in addressing entrepreneurs' problems. The head of state stated that officials who avoid helping businesses may be removed from their posts.

As an example, the governor of Nurafshon city was cited for failing to assist an entrepreneur who had been unable to start construction for two years due to bureaucracy. Instead of helping, the governor allegedly searched for who had leaked the information to the president.

Additionally, governors of Guzar, Narpay, Urganch, Yangiyul, and Chinaz districts were criticized for not launching projects using allocated funds for business infrastructure. This year, these districts received an additional 262 billion soums from the republican budget.

The president instructed the relevant regional governors to review the suitability of the named district governors within the day. If they fail to perform, they will be dismissed. This decision aims to improve the business climate and combat bureaucratic obstacles.
