A meeting chaired by the President of Uzbekistan on May 5 discussed plans to create opportunities for prompt cashback payments on fiscal receipts in the sectors of public catering, alcohol and tobacco products, and fuel sales.

This measure is proposed due to the transition of payments for a number of goods and services to non-cash form. Since April 1, payments for vehicle fuel, electric vehicle charging, as well as the purchase of alcohol and tobacco can only be made in non-cash form.

Additionally, it was proposed to prevent abuse of the system for reporting non-issuance of receipts.

The cashback system on fiscal receipts in Uzbekistan operates through the Soliq application and provides for a refund of 1% of the purchase amount. Currently, cashback is usually calculated after the 25th day of the month following the month of receipt registration, after verification of tax reporting data.

According to the Tax Committee, in 2025 consumers were paid about 1.51 trillion soums in cashback, which is almost 50% more than in 2024.
