During raids conducted from May 1 to 8 in Uzbekistan, 125 violations related to overloading children in vehicles were detected. This was announced by Zoir Yuldoshev, head of the information service of the Road Safety Service.
According to him, in some cases, up to 23-25 kindergarten children were transported in Damas vehicles. Additionally, instances of carrying 18 children in Spark cars were observed.
“If Damas has seven seats, 28 children — what does that mean? If an accident happens tomorrow, who will be responsible?” he said.
Yuldoshev noted that such cases are mainly observed in private and family kindergartens. He emphasized that parents are primarily responsible for children's safety.
“Parents are negligent by sending their children in such conditions,” said the Road Safety Service representative.
The representative stressed the need to strengthen outreach work in mahallas to solve this problem. In his opinion, explanatory work with parents should be more active.
Yuldoshev noted that joint outreach work with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education is being carried out among kindergartens, and ways to solve the problem are also being considered.
Earlier, in the Navoi region, a Matiz car carrying 14 kindergarten children crashed. The driver was the head of a family kindergarten who did not have a driver's license. As a result, the woman died, and the children were taken to the hospital with various injuries.
