Tashkent, Uzbekistan – AN Podrobno.uz. Camera traps in the Yukori Tupolang National Nature Park have, for the first time in a long while, captured a valuable representative of wildlife — the Tian Shan brown bear. This species is listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan and is considered one of the most vulnerable in the region.

The Tian Shan brown bear is a rare subspecies of the brown bear, inhabiting the mountainous areas of Central Asia. This cautious predator prefers to stay away from humans, making such footage especially valuable for scientists and ecologists.

According to experts, the appearance of the bear in the camera trap lens indicates that conservation measures are yielding results. This is an important indicator of the preservation of the region's ecosystem and biodiversity.

At the same time, ecologists emphasize that the population of this rare predator remains under threat. The main reasons for its decline are poaching and the reduction of natural habitat.

Earlier, it was reported that bears reappeared in the Amankutan National Nature Park for the first time in decades.
