In the Zangiata district of the Tashkent region, a joint operation by the State Security Service and customs authorities thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large batch of drugs. Nearly one kilogram of synthetic substance was allegedly brought in disguised as pumping equipment.
According to law enforcement, a 32-year-old native of Karakalpakstan, previously under surveillance, was detained. A water pump sent from abroad was seized from him.
During inspection in the presence of witnesses, 968 grams of the synthetic narcotic substance Alpha-PVP were found inside the device.
Additionally, in the suspect's rented apartment in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent, electronic scales and packaging materials, including zip-lock bags and tape — all necessary for packaging and further sale — were discovered. It turned out that the man served as a "warehouse keeper" for an online drug market.
A criminal case has been initiated, and investigative actions are underway.

Earlier, Alpha-PVP was detected by operatives of the specialized customs complex "Tashkent-Aero" and the State Security Service. They detained two passengers on a flight from Bishkek. Over a kilogram of "synthetics" was found on the dealers.
