Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. Amin Tadzhiev, a prominent statesman and public figure, passed away on June 4 at the age of 80. He dedicated over half a century to the development of agriculture, Karakalpakstan, and addressing the problems of the Aral Sea region.

Tadzhiev was born on April 12, 1947, in the Turtkul district. After graduating from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, he began his career as a safety engineer at the Al-Khorezmi collective farm.

He rose from a district leader to one of the country's leading agricultural experts. Over the years, he held responsible positions in the Turtkul, Ellikkala, and Amudarya districts, headed the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, served as Minister of Agriculture, head of the Forestry Department, and first deputy chairman of the State Agro-Industrial Committee of Uzbekistan.

A special focus of his work was the development of the Aral Sea region. In the challenging ecological conditions, he actively participated in projects to develop infrastructure, improve water supply, and enhance the quality of life for the population.

One of the key areas of his work was involvement in the construction of the "Tuyamuyun – Nukus – Takhtakupyr" water pipeline, which played a significant role in providing drinking water to residents of the region. Social and cultural facilities were also built with his participation.

After retiring, Tadzhiev continued to actively participate in the public life of Karakalpakstan. He focused on ecology, landscaping, greening of settlements, supporting the older generation, and educating youth.

For his many years of dedicated service and contribution to the country's development, he was awarded the orders "El-yurt khurmati," "Dustlik," and "Mehnat shuhrati," as well as the honorary title "Honored Mechanizer of the Republic of Karakalpakstan."

Amin Tadzhiev will be remembered by colleagues, friends, and students as an experienced leader, a dedicated specialist, and a person who made a significant contribution to the development of Karakalpakstan and Uzbekistan.

Condolences on his passing were expressed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva, Legislative Chamber Speaker Nuriddin Ismoilov, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orinbayev, and heads of several state agencies.
