The mayor of Nurafshan city, Ilkhom Kilichkhanov, has been dismissed from his post, according to the press service of the Tashkent region administration.

He had held the position since April 2023. It was noted that Kilichkhanov will continue his work in a new position.

The regional governor Zoyir Mirzayev acknowledged Kilichkhanov's contribution to the socio-economic development of the city and wished him success in his future endeavors.

In April of this year, the president criticized district mayors, including Kilichkhanov, for inaction in working with entrepreneurs. Reports indicated that instead of helping a businessman who had been unable to start construction due to bureaucracy for two years, the official was busy trying to find out how the information reached the president.
