During large-scale environmental raids in the capital and Tashkent region, inspectors recorded 48 violations of environmental legislation. Most cases involve illegal dumping of construction waste and tree cutting.

The eco-police raids were conducted from May 19 to July 22 in Yukorichirchik, Kuychirchik, Zangiata, and Kibray districts of Tashkent region, as well as in Yangihayot, Yunusabad, and Sergeli districts of Tashkent city.

Inspectors focused on cases of illegal transportation and dumping of construction waste in unauthorized places, as well as illegal tree cutting. Violators used vehicles to transport waste and left it in prohibited areas.

As a result of the raids, 48 administrative protocols were drawn up. Total fines exceeded 316 million soums. Inspections revealed that some citizens transported construction waste by car and left it in places not intended for this purpose.

The eco-police reminded that illegal waste dumping worsens the environment and entails liability. Raids will continue.

Earlier in Akhangaran, eco-police officers detained a resident who illegally hunted a mountain goat listed in the Red Book and tried to sell the meat of the rare animal.
