Citizens of Uzbekistan will be assisted in obtaining seasonal work in US agriculture under the H-2A visa program. The American company Head Honchos plans to develop cooperation with the republic in this direction and train candidates to meet the requirements of US employers.

In August, Head Honchos CEO Todd Miller will visit Uzbekistan. The visit is organized with the support of the Uzbek embassy in the US and will focus on developing a program for temporary employment of Uzbek citizens in the American agricultural sector.

During the meetings, the sides will discuss the possibility of attracting Uzbeks to seasonal work on US farms, as well as signing a memorandum of cooperation.

Under the future agreement, it is planned to prepare candidates according to US employer standards and assist them in obtaining legal employment under the H-2A visa. This program allows foreign nationals to temporarily work in US agriculture with an official job offer from an employer.

Additionally, representatives of the American company will visit farms and enterprises in Bukhara and Fergana regions to assess prospects for further cooperation.

Earlier, Uzbekistan's Migration Agency and the US embassy discussed expanding programs for legal employment of Uzbek citizens in the United States, including issues of specialist training and document processing.
