A video has gone viral on social media showing an elderly woman in Tashkent crying and begging not to be left alone, claiming her social worker locks her in her apartment. A blogger, responding to subscribers' requests, visited the address and showed a nearly empty refrigerator and no running water.

At the location in Mirzo Ulugbek district, the blogger opened the door with a screwdriver. The pensioner thanked them and said she fears being alone. She alleged the social worker locks the door, preventing her from leaving, and complained about the lack of water.

Neighbors confirmed the woman regularly asks for help through the window, and they pass food using a rope. They said they have repeatedly contacted social services without any change. A neighbor woman testified to this.

The social worker, when contacted, claimed she regularly brings food in her own containers and that the pensioner herself turns off the water. She accused the blogger of breaking into the door of a state-dependent person. The blogger denied this, saying the door was not fully locked, and showed the empty fridge as evidence of neglect.

It was also alleged that the pensioner receives a pension of over 3 million soums, but her card is held by others. Neighbors speculated that her apartment may have been transferred to third parties. No official comment has been made yet.
