President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in his congratulatory message on the Day of Peoples' Friendship, announced plans to establish a professional ensemble called 'Dostlik' (Friendship), comprising representatives of various nationalities living in the country.

According to the head of state, the new creative group will become part of the country's cultural life and help strengthen interethnic harmony.

In his address, Mirziyoyev noted that today over 130 nations and ethnic groups, as well as 16 religious confessions, live in peace and friendship in Uzbekistan.

The president emphasized that peace, tranquility, tolerance and unity are important values for a multinational society. He stated that in recent years, a model of interethnic friendship based on the principle 'Our strength is in unity and harmony' has been formed in the country.

The head of state also reported on measures to develop national cultural centers and friendship societies. The material and technical base of 157 such centers and 46 friendship societies has been strengthened.

Furthermore, the president noted that education in Uzbekistan is conducted in seven languages, and television and radio broadcasts are available in 12 languages. Publications in the languages of various peoples of the country are represented in 14 languages.

Mirziyoyev also stressed the importance of further developing relations with Central Asian states, noting the expansion of economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.

Concluding his congratulations, the president called the friendship of peoples a guarantee of peaceful and prosperous life and wished citizens health, peace and success.
