Andijan International Airport in Uzbekistan has marked a historic milestone by handling its first heavy cargo aircraft, a Boeing 747-400F. The flight delivered over 160 heads of pedigree cattle from Europe to Uzbekistan.

The Challenge Air Cargo flight arrived from Liège Airport in Belgium early in the morning at 3:13 AM local time. The aircraft carried 83.3 tons of cargo, including Simmental and Holstein cows, renowned for their high productivity in both dairy and beef production.

All stages, from unloading to veterinary inspection and dispatch of the animals, were carried out promptly and in compliance with biological safety requirements. After inspection, the cattle were loaded onto specialized transport and sent to their destination.

Uzbekistan Airports noted that the event is significant for the region. Handling such an aircraft type confirms that Andijan Airport is ready to deal with large and complex cargoes, including the transportation of live animals according to international standards.

Earlier, Fitch Ratings improved its outlook on Uzbekistan Airports' long-term credit rating from "stable" to "positive," while affirming the rating at "BB".
