Tashkent has commenced extensive work on the comprehensive development and transformation of a 37-hectare area adjacent to the Scientific and Educational Memorial Complex of the first President of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, into an open public park.

Earlier in July, the head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, inspected the capital's parks. During the review, plans were announced to create all necessary conditions for regular recreation for residents.

The main objectives of the project are aimed at adapting the territory to modern urban planning requirements and the needs of the population. Work is being carried out in the areas of ensuring openness and convenience, developing ecology and green zones, as well as creating modern infrastructure.

This initiative is part of large-scale measures to improve the environmental situation in the capital and expand green spaces on central streets and adjacent territories.
