Tashkent is set to host the Malaysia-Uzbekistan International Halal Fest 2027, an international forum and exhibition. The prospects for organizing this event were discussed by representatives of Uzbekistan and Malaysia at a meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture.

The project, presented by the delegation of the Malaysian company TWOJ CREATIVE SDN BHD, aims to develop the halal industry ecosystem, strengthen international business ties, and create new investment projects.

The festival is expected to feature an international exhibition, a business forum, B2B meetings, special expositions on halal products, tourism, finance, and manufacturing, as well as investment sessions and product presentations.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the development of a halal certification system based on JAKIM standards, the promotion of local producers' products to international markets, and the organization of training seminars for farmers and entrepreneurs.

To organize the festival at a high level, a joint roadmap will be developed with the involvement of ministries, agencies, higher education institutions, and the business community.
