Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Podrobno.uz. In the second season of the 'Initiative Budget' project for 2026, a total of 693 project proposals have been submitted for co-financing based on partnership with the population.
The majority of initiatives are projects for the repair of internal roads (285), improvement of electricity supply (132), and installation of street lighting (105).
By region, the highest number of projects was recorded in the Kashkadarya region — 163. This indicates a high demand among the population for solving infrastructure issues.
The project aims to ensure direct participation of citizens in addressing the most pressing local problems and to promote efficient use of budget funds.
Subsequently, all projects will be reviewed by a special commission, and the most significant ones will be selected for financing. The process will be transparent and under public oversight.
