Uzbekistan is launching a program called "AI Partner for 10,000 Enterprises," under which the state will compensate businesses for 50% of their costs on implementing digital solutions. At least $100 million has been allocated for the first phase of the project.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this on August 18 during an open dialogue with entrepreneurs in the Khorezm region. The need for digitalization is confirmed by analytics — after transitioning to modern management methods and artificial intelligence technologies, 54% of companies saw a sharp increase in demand for their products, 25% reduced production costs, and 40% of enterprises raised employee salaries by more than 10% due to increased revenues.

To support businesses, the country has launched its first supercomputer cluster based at the Digital Government Project Management Center, whose capacity will triple next year. Entrepreneurs will get free access to the supercomputer to develop their own models for new products, while research and development costs will be financed from the budget.

All ready-made digital algorithms and solutions for businesses will be placed on a single open platform. The successful digitalization experience is planned to be scaled to the electrical engineering, food industry, and construction materials production — the state will subsidize half of the automation costs for enterprises in these sectors.

Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan would create a unified business support system — from starting a business to reaching the level of large-scale production. At the open dialogue with entrepreneurs, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced new measures to ease lending, introduce artificial intelligence technologies, and privatize state assets.
