Tashkent, Uzbekistan – AN Podrobno.uz. Nasaf Qarshi has learned its opponents for the group stage of the 2026/27 AFC Champions League 2. The draw took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to the results of the draw conducted by the Asian Football Confederation, Nasaf will face Al Wahda from the UAE, Kuwait SC from Kuwait, and Al Hidd from Bahrain. Thus, the Uzbek club's rivals are exclusively Arab teams.

Nasaf earned the right to compete in the tournament by finishing third in the Uzbekistan Super League in the 2025 season. Pakhtakor, which finished second and won the national cup, was entered into the qualification for the AFC Elite Champions League, so the spot in the AFC Champions League 2 was passed to the next team in the standings.

The AFC Champions League 2 is the second-tier club competition in Asia after the Elite Champions League. In the group stage, 32 teams are divided into eight groups of four. They will play each other home and away, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Round of 16. The first round will be held on September 15.

This tournament holds special significance for Nasaf: in 2011, the Qarshi club won the AFC Cup — the predecessor of the current AFC Champions League 2 — becoming the first Uzbek club to claim a continental trophy.

Earlier, it was reported that Nasaf's head coach Ruzikul Berdiev was named among the three most loyal coaches in the world.
