Diyor Imomkhujaev will continue to serve as the director of the Uzbekistan Professional Football League for another four years, following a unanimous decision by the league's Executive Committee on August 19.
According to the league's press service, on August 17, the President of the Uzbekistan Football Association, Bakhodir Kurbanov, signed a submission and sent it to the Executive Committee, proposing Imomkhujaev's candidacy for the position of General Director.
On August 19, eight members of the Executive Committee reviewed the matter. At the end of the meeting, all members unanimously approved Imomkhujaev for the next term as General Director.
As a result, the current head will continue his duties for the next four years, starting from August 19, 2026. This decision ensures stability in the league's management.
It is worth noting that Imomkhujaev has been acting as director since 2020 and has served as General Director since 2022. His reappointment has been positively received by football officials.
