Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. A ceremony took place at the Kuksaroy residence to present Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the Order of 'Oliy Darajali Dustlik' (High-Level Friendship) of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented the high state award in recognition of Modi's immense personal contribution to strengthening historical friendship, broad-scale strategic partnership, development of political, trade-economic, and investment ties, as well as intensifying cultural and humanitarian exchange between the peoples of the two countries.

The head of state noted that this award expresses the deep respect of the Uzbek people for the Indian leader, under whose guidance the country achieves outstanding success on the international stage.

Following the high-level talks, a ceremony of signing a package of bilateral documents took place in the presence of the leaders of the two countries. The parties adopted a Joint Statement on the outcomes of the visit and signed a Cultural Exchange Program for 2026-2030 and a Tourism Cooperation Program for 2026-2028.

The signed agreements and memorandums include documents on cooperation in Ayurveda and traditional medicine, higher education and scientific research, environmental protection, archival affairs, geology and mineral resources, as well as economic and financial dialogue.

Additionally, a protocol on conducting archaeological research in the territories of Fayoztepa and Karatepa, a memorandum between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Relations, and an agreement on establishing partnership relations between the Samarkand region and the state of Gujarat were signed.
