Centrum Air has integrated Apple Pay and Google Pay into its website, allowing passengers to purchase tickets using these digital payment methods. The feature was implemented in partnership with Octobank, leveraging the bank's internet acquiring platform. Passengers can now confirm payments on their smartphones without manually entering bank card details.

The payment process uses tokenized data, meaning actual card credentials are not transmitted to the merchant, adding an extra layer of security. According to the airline's press service, the launch of Apple Pay and Google Pay in collaboration with Octobank makes the ticket purchasing process more comfortable for passengers, especially for those accustomed to using digital payment methods in their daily lives.

Vladimir Vasiliev, Managing Director for Cross-Border Money Transfers and E-Commerce at Octobank, emphasized the importance of payment speed for customer experience: “Today, payment speed directly affects customer experience: the fewer actions required from the user, the simpler the path from selection to purchase. Our task as a technology partner is to enable businesses to embed such a payment experience directly into online purchases. For our partners in the aviation industry, this is especially important: the easier it is for a passenger to go from choosing a flight to paying, the more comfortable the interaction with the airline as a whole.”

Centrum Air's press service expressed gratitude to Octobank for the technological implementation and effective cooperation. The integration of Apple Pay and Google Pay expands Octobank's internet acquiring capabilities for companies that accept online payments, contributing to the development of digital payment infrastructure in Uzbekistan.
