Representatives from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey have officially agreed to expand cooperation in the space sector. The landmark document was signed in Antalya during the 77th International Astronautical Congress.

Concluded on October 6, the agreement marks the first-ever space industry cooperation pact established among member states within the Organization of Turkic States. The participating nations intend to develop joint projects in space technologies, satellite systems, scientific research, and industrial cooperation.

Particular emphasis under the new framework will be placed on training specialized personnel for the burgeoning industry. Officials within the Organization of Turkic States stated that the agreement will establish a solid foundation for closer integration and expanded initiatives, specifically referencing the ongoing development of the OTS-SAT project.

An Uzbek delegation led by Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov is actively participating in the Antalya congress. Delegation members are holding meetings with international space community representatives to discuss potential avenues for global cooperation.
