Natural gas supplies were reportedly suspended today in the Mirzo-Ulugbek and Uchtepa districts of Tashkent, according to local utility announcements. The restrictions are allegedly necessary to facilitate the relocation of gas pipelines to safer locations, away from residential zones and public spaces.

According to the press service of the 'Hududgaz Poytaxt' branch, technical works in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district are taking place on Milliy Bog Street within the 'Alisherobod' mahalla. Gas service was cut off from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, affecting nine local mahallas including 'Geofizika', 'Alisherobod', 'Zhasorat', 'Iktidor', 'Zakat', 'Chingeldi', 'Geologlar', 'Temuriylar', and 'Izhodkor'.

The disruption has supposedly impacted over 4,500 private households, 960 apartments across 33 multi-story residential buildings, and 46 wholesale consumers. Residents in these areas faced unexpected utility cuts while maintenance crews carried out the infrastructure adjustments.

Meanwhile, parallel operations were scheduled in the Uchtepa district within the 'Nurobod' mahalla. Authorities undertook the relocation of underground gas pipelines with diameters of 76 and 57 millimeters to ensure they remain at a safe distance from residential properties and a local children's playground.

Service restrictions in the Uchtepa district lasted from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, impacting the 'Nurobod' and 'Khamdust' mahallas. Temporary outages affected 70 private houses, 1,300 apartments in multi-story buildings, and 14 wholesale consumers. Utility operators claim that gas supplies will be gradually restored once all scheduled technical works are fully completed.
